About Africa

Africa is one of the most naturally breathtaking continents in the world, offering vast, open landscapes and rich cultural experiences. Unlike the dense jungles often imagined, much of Africa features sweeping savannahs and low grasslands where you can spot wildlife from great distances.

Kenya: A Jewel in Africa’s Crown

Kenya, in particular, is a stunning destination—especially during the Indian summer months of June, July, and August, when the weather is exceptionally pleasant. While traveling through Kenya, you'll likely cross the Equator, a unique and memorable experience in itself.

Kenya is safe and welcoming, with locals known for their warmth and friendliness. English is widely spoken, and you'll find that many Africans speak it with elegance and a distinctive, charming accent.

This website is dedicated to providing first-hand insights and valuable information for those planning to visit Kenya. Having traveled during the Great Migration, the author shares only the best recommendations on places to stay and travel tips that ensure your journey is both memorable and cost-effective.

Let Kenya surprise you — with its wildlife, landscapes, and heartfelt hospitality.

How Happy is Our Traveller

BEST SUITED FOR

Ideal Group Size: 4 to 5 Travelers

This package is best enjoyed in a small, close-knit group of 4 to 5 people. It strikes the perfect balance—easy to coordinate, flexible with interests, and more spacious vehicles make the journey comfortable and fun. While larger groups can lower costs, they often come with longer waiting times and limited flexibility—especially on a high-value, time-sensitive trip like this.

Where Wildlife Comes to You

We highly recommend staying in 4 to 5-star lodges such as Serena or Mara Simba, which aren’t just luxurious—they’re strategically located near water sources that attract animals. Imagine waking up to the sight of elephants, zebras, or giraffes just outside your lodge. These aren’t just accommodations—they’re part of the experience.

Food quality at these lodges is excellent, and you'll find Indian delicacies, including vegetarian options, in most places.

Hot Air Balloon Ride: Worth It During Migration

If you're traveling in June, July, or August, don’t miss the hot air balloon ride. Yes, it's pricey (around $460 USD), but during the Great Migration, it becomes an unforgettable experience. Witness thousands of wildebeests in perfect formation, trekking across the savannah beneath you. Outside migration season, the view isn’t as dramatic, and we wouldn’t strongly recommend the balloon trip.

Kenya Has No Off-Season

Kenya offers year-round wildlife encounters. While the Great Migration—with over 2 million wildebeests moving from Tanzania to Kenya—is a seasonal highlight, all major animals including lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, and buffaloes are permanent residents of the Kenyan plains.

Unlike Tanzania, Kenya’s safari zones cover a more compact area, making game drives more efficient and wildlife sightings more frequent—any time of the year.
