Most of Africa is beautiful and you should expect some excellent weather in Kenya during the period of Indian summers (June, July and August). While travelling in Kenya, you are likely to cross the Equator. Besides some countries, the continent is generally safe and people are very nice to foreigners. Africans who speak in English have great polish in tone and a wonderful accent.

Africa is the most naturally beautiful land mass in the world. You can see animals from great distance as they graze on low grasslands and the vast savannahs present a clear view. It’s not like the dense jungles we expect.

The more - the merrier but 4 to 5 people are still the best. It is easier to plan and you need not wait for every little interest of all. There would be more space in the vehicle and you will have lots of fun in a close compact group. The economics of the hotel stay and each little thing helps. More travelers reduces the costs, but waiting time, dependency and opportunities lost are more expensive on this kind of an expensive trip.

Animals will come to where you are

We suggest 4 to 5 star properties. In most of these properties like the Serena and Mara Simba properties, the animals come close to the property because of some water resource. They are not just conveniences but more where animals visit. It is highly recommended not to save on stay. Food in most places is wonderful and includes Indian delicacies including vegetarian.

Take the balloon ride in June, July and August

A hot air balloon ride is expensive, but during migration, it’s a sight to see. During other months, we may not recommend it that much. Animals are too distant to make out and the trip is worth about 460 USD. Only during migration, you can see Wilder beasts walking in straight lines from one side of the expanse to the other which is a treat to the eyes.

There is no off season in Kenya

There is no OFF Season in Kenya. It is just that during migration, over 2 million wilder beasts travel from Tanzania to Kenya to graze on fresh grass. Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Giraffes, wild buffalows and almost all animals are local except for the wilder beasts. The Kenyan safari spreads over lesser area and game rides are always good.
